本文根据福建教师招考中考试大纲对中学英语的要求，梳理了介词短语，方便同学们更加顺利地开展学习。

一、定义

介词短语又叫介词宾语，是介词与其后的宾语构成的词组。

By accident 偶然

On account of 因为，由于

In addition 另外

In addition to 除……之外

In the air 在流行中，在传播中

二、介词短语的成分

1.介词短语可以用作表语

Mr.smith is still in bed. 史密斯先生还在睡觉。

He was aiready in his sixties.他已经六十多岁了。

2.介词短语可以用作状语

The children are playing by the river. 孩子们在河边玩。

They often talk in English after class.他们经常在课后用英语交谈。

3.介词短语可以用作定语

The womwn in the room is his wife. 房间里的那个女人是他的妻子。

China is a country with a long history. 中国是一个历史悠久的国家。

注意：介词短语作定语时必须置于被修饰名词之后。

4.介词短语可以用作宾语补足语

We found her in tears. 我们发现她在哭泣。

The cold kept him in bed for three days.这次感冒让他卧床三天。

注意：当含有宾语补足语的句子变成被动语态后，原来的宾语补足语就变成了主语补足语。

三、常用归纳

介词to词组归纳： 

1.be accustomed to doing 习惯于 

2.amount to  达到 

The cost of the project has amounted to 5 million dollars. 

3.appeal to 呼吁 

He appeals to people that we should not eat dogs. 

4.apply to 适用于 

The new solution has been applied to the problem. 

5.attach to 附属于 

The high school is attached to Xiamen University.  

介词At 词组归纳：

1.Be amused at 对…高兴 We were amused at the joke. 我们觉得这个笑话真有趣。 

2.arrive at/arrive in=reach 到达 

3.be astonished at 对…吃惊 He was astonished at the news. 他对这个消息感到吃惊. 

4.exclaim at 对…大叫 

The children exclaimed at their mother.

5.glance at 一瞥  

介词For词组归纳：

1.account for 解释 

Bad weather accounted for the long delay. 长期的延缓是因为坏天气 

2.ask for 请求 

The boy asked his mother for money. 那个男孩跟他妈妈要钱. 

3.act for 代理 

She acts for me in the matter.  在这件事上,她是我的代理人。  

4.apologize for 因…道歉 

I must apologize for calling you so late.

实在抱歉, 这么晚给您打电话。 

5.blame for 归咎于… 

A storm was to blame for the power outage. 停电的起因是一场暴风雪

介词With词组归纳：

1.agree with 同意 I agree with you. 

2.begin with 以…开始 

The party began with singing and dancing. 晚会以唱歌跳舞开始. 

3.communicate with 和…交流 

They communicate with each other quite well. 

他们很好地交流. 

4.compare with 把…和…相比 

Don’t always compare other children with your own. 不要老是拿别人的孩子和自己的比.

Compare to 把…比作… 

People always compare the children to the flowers of our motherland. 人们总是把孩子比成祖国的花朵. 

5.compete with/against 和…竞争, 和…比赛 

The children compete with/against each other to reach the other end of the pool. 

孩子们互相竞争着抵达池子的另一端。
